We can talk about our listed projects and have prepared answers for everything. But occasionally interviewers will ask the question, What is your proudest accomplishment thats notlage on your resume? They do this for a variety of reasons. Some want to see how quickly you can think on your feet. Others might be trying to verify that you didnt appropriate someone elses accomplishments for your resume. Some interviewers may even be trying to see what youre like on a more personal level. Whatever the reason, preparing for the question, like all interview questions, will leave you with the best answer. This is your chance to share another side of you, while mucksmuschenstill giving reasons why youre perfect for the role.Think outside of workA lot of interviewers want to see the full picture of you, but still are looking for how you well you can perform the job. Share a personal anecdote of something you do outside of work that still shows skills that are relevant to the role would be a winning route to take to answer the question. And make sure to tie your personal story back to job-related skills. Have you taught something lately? Maybe you taught your cousin how to use Microsoft PowerPoint, or helped a friend learn basic HTML. If you cant think of an example that shows off your technical skills, you can play up your soft skills. If you recently ran a marathon, or competed in a team sport, you can show off your your perseverance, discipline, and teamwork. But dont totally count out work examples. You can still share examples from your professional life. Choose an example that showcases how you go above and beyond your usual responsibilities, but also displays how your personality will fit into the companys culture. Maybe you helped plan your companys holiday party and it was total hit. Or you can share how your work on the product marketing team helps the engineering team reach a goal. Talk about accomplishments that make you look well-rounded and willing to help the whole company move forward.Stay away from cliches, unless youre going to put a spin on it.Raising kids and graduating from college are huge accomplishments, but these answers to the question also apply to many other people and wont make you stand out as an amazing candidate. If you really cant think of another accomplishment, you can use cliches, but make sure you tell the interviewer why its your proudest accomplishment. Were you juggling a full-time job, school, while raising your children? Was graduating from college a big deal because you were the first one to finish from your family and you paid it for yourself? Think about what makes you unique, and turn ordinary answers into something your interviewer will remember.

The Pros and Cons of Piloting Tailwheel AircraftThe Pros and Cons of Piloting Tailwheel AircraftWhen talking about airplanes, a tailwheel aircraft, or a taildragger, refers to the position of the landing gear on an airplane. An aircraft with a tailwheel, also known as conventional gear, is an aircraft designed with its two main landing gear placed forward of the center of gravity of the airplane, or in the front of the aircraft, with a single tailwheel in the rear of the airplane to support the tail of the plane. The term conventionalcan be confusing, though, as the more commonly seen gear on light aircraft ansicht days is tricycle gear and not tailwheel style. Nevertheless, the term conventional (which came from the fact that most airplanes long ago were designed with a tailwheel gear configuration) implies that the airplane has a tailwheel, as opposed to tricycle gear. Aircraft with tricycle landing gear, where the two main landing gear are fixed behind the center of gravity, and t he nose gear supports the nose of the aircraft in front, is more commonly seen in light aircraft today. Disadvantages of Tailwheel Aircraft Tailwheel aircraft are often thought of as more challenging, perhaps even more hazardous, to fly than an airplane that has tricycle landing gear. Because the position of the center of gravity is located to therear of the main gear, ground operations (mostly landing) can be more difficult in a tailwheel aircraft. The tailwheel aircraft also sits with its nose higher than tricycle gear airplane, lowering forward visibility for the pilot during ground operations. Its more difficult to taxi without being able to see directly in front of you, which is why youll often see pilots of tailwheel aircraft do S-turns while taxiing. And steeringa tailwheel aircraft is different than steering a nosewheel aircraft since steering is accomplished from behind the pilot instead of in front. Advantages of Tailwheel Aircraft There are certainly benefits to a taildragger, as well. The nose-high attitude on the ground means that the propellers on tailwheel aircraft often have more clearance from the ground, making them better suited for grass or dirt runways. And theyre often designed and configured for slow flight, making them easier to land on short runways. Many are high-design and better suited for backcountry flying than nosewheel aircraft are. Tailwheel airplanes are without a doubt the favorite airplane among bush pilots.
